Content The whole world in a picture book. The cosmos spread out over a hundred pages. A surprising and amazing piece of highly original work with sparkling imagination. An enchanting exploration of the world filled with the joy of playing. Figures made of papier maché meet paintings, photos talk with children's drawings. Structures, figures and motifs make up classification systems. The children's view is guided and associations are sparked off. The whole world as a school of art. Close ups interchange with panorama pictures, fictitious figures meet real people, artificial shapes placed in nature. Whiskers follow grass fields as close ups, a black and white design leads us to a tiny papier maché cow on a lush meadow. We are alienated from what is familiar, counterpoints are made. In this way, a world is created without words and rises above language like music and a story can be read like a musical score and it can be read in any number of ways. The closer you look the more you see in this kaleidoscope of creation. Katy Couprie and Antonin Louchard present surprising, cheerful and bizarre thought processes in their collage of the world, which are then put together in the reader's mind in a loose and seemingly arbitrary way (Jury's reason for the nomination of this book for the German Youth Literature Award 2002, Picture book category, published by The Association for Children's and Youth Literature)

Activity concept: The ideas
Make up your own collage of the world and discover new connections between the senses, as is the intention of the authors. This process has been tried out in numerous projects in many different events for people in many different age groups. The scope of use for this book seems to be endless.
