Thoughts dwell easily alongside one another
Guests at LesArt - LesArt as a guest at other locations Literary dinner
As ever, this enjoyable event combines literature, food and creative forms for encouraging reading. The event is made up of an introduction which ignites curiosity, creative tasks and culinary highlights. The participants will find the event so appealing that they pass on their enthusiasm about the books to others as well. A culinary and literary experience with follow-on effects! Example: The four books chosen by the jury for the German Youth Literature Award 2004.
Activity concept: The idea »It's all a question of Experience ...« This quote from the children's book Ein Schaf fürs Leben inspires the motif and thematic direction of the training, which invites the participants to walk through rooms - both real and imaginary ones. What experiences do readers make during their lives? Which experiences have they received through reading? What new experiences are created through this meeting of reality and art? The trainer (in the role of a travel agent from Booktrotters) includes words which are directly linked to the topic in the welcome to the participants: Experiences (Erfahrungen), Reactions (Reaktionen), Questions (Fragen), Age (Alter), Opinions (Haltungen), Rooms (Räume), Changes (Umbrüche), Proximity (Nähe), Feelings (Gefühle), Memories (Erinnerungen), Curiosity (Neugier) - ERFAHRUNG = EXPERIENCE. These words are constant companions during the evening. They are written on posters in the room and also on the documents handed out to the participants and in each of the walking diaries kept by the different groups. The documents also contain the task: During the walk, please note in your diary what experiences you have made in which room! Use the words as an orientation for your notes! Please remember to eat and drink when you are out walking! The walk goes through four rooms the contents of which have, individually, been inspired by the four prize books. Each room is designed so that the location and topic of a book can be experienced. A simile, a proverb or a turn of phrase is allocated to each book. The range of experience available to mankind is augmented by the experience of literary figures. Food supplies are an important part of any well prepared trek. Each group receives a walking stick for the walk along with a bundle full of food and drink, all marked with a label to indicated their reference to literary quotes. Accompanied by the song »These boots are made for walking« the four groups start out on the walk. At the end of the walk, all the groups meet up in the »Restaurant of Experiences« to discuss what they have done using their walking diaries as reference. The literary/culinary buffet is then opened. A comprehensive menu provides information on the corresponding literary quotes alongside the food itself. Approx. 4 hours; Concept: Sabine Mähne, Friederike Ribbe, Katrin Rohde, Claudia Rouvel
